BLACK Rhinos coach Saul Chaminuka confirmed that the club will punish Winger Nelson Mwasanga for unprofessional conduct during the team’s 1-0 loss to FC Platinum on Saturday.

Mwasanga started Black Rhinos’ matchday 11 tie at National Sports Stadium but was withdrawn in the first half for Migos Svinurai.

Seemingly infuriated by the technical team’s decision, Mwasanga went straight to the dressing room instead of joining other substitutes on the bench.

Chaminuka lamented the player’s actions, saying he had behaved like a kid, and that he will be punished for it.

“Sometimes players behave like kids. If a player chooses to behave like that [•••] we will obviously reprimand him,” Chaminuka said.

The coach explained the rationale behind the early substitution which did not go down well with the former Chapungu winger.

“We made that change because we were looking at our tactics.

“We had failed to maintain what we had planned on, and we had to pull him out so that we [could] play the way we had planned to play the game,” the coach said.

Mwasanga lost several balls and was often easily bullied off the ball but his replacement Svinurai fared much better.

Black Rhinos conceded soon after the withdrawal of Mwasanga and went on to lose the match by that single goal.

Despite the loss, Black Rhinos created one clear cut chance which could have earned them a draw against the reigning Champions.
