PHD Ministries leader Prophet Walter Magaya has said everything is in place for the Yadah Soccer Academy pre-trials ahead of the historic scouting camp by Juventus scouts at the end of August.
The clergyman, through his academy in partnership with City Academy Football, invited scouts from the Italian giants to Zimbabwe for a seven day scouting camp set to be held at Yadah Hotel in Harare from 26 to 31 August 2023.
“Juventus will bring its scouts to Yadah Hotel for a seven day scouting camp and this presents a unique opportunity for your child to be spotted and join the ranks of the illustrious Italian club,” Magaya wrote on his timeline Tuesday.
But before scouts from The Old Lady arrive in the country for young talent identification, first, there are pre-trails scheduled to take place countrywide.
The first stage of the pre-trials will take place from 4-5 August 2023 in different towns and cities across Zimbabwe.
These include Bulawayo, Victoria Falls, Harare, Beitbridge, Marondera, Filabusi, Bindura, Chegutu, Chipinge and Karoi.
Other places like Masvingo, Kwekwe, Mt Darwin, Hwange, Mutare as well as Gweru are also set hold the pre-trials.
The Yadah Football Club owner also said: “As we gear up for the arrival of Juventus Scouts (in August), it is key to prepare properly.”
The aim of Yadah Sports Academy is to “give an African child the platform to be selected by the best in the world”.
Its vision is to “see our cadets compete globally, showcase their talent at the highest stage and earn enough to transform generations”.
