Trigger happy Premier Soccer League [PSL] side Bulawayo Chiefs have officially unveiled former Manica Diamonds coach Johanisi Nhumwa as their new head coach.

Amakhosi announced the appointment of Nhumwa in a statement issued by the club on Wednesday.
“Following the departure of Lizwe Sweswe, who was then head coach, we are pleased to announce that we have appointed Johanisi Nhuma as head Coach,” the Twitter Boys wrote.
Nhumwa joins Chiefs after the departure of Joseph Sibindi who took over when Sweswe left for Sheasham.
In their statement, Chiefs also added that Sibindi, a Sports Science Lecturer, mutually agreed to part ways with the club after spending a month in office.
Nevertheless, bhorafrika.com has it on good authority that Sibindi quited after being annoyed by the manner in which the club is being administered.
It is believed Sibindi, formerly with relegated Bulawayo City, complained that Chiefs “does not have correct structures in order to succeed.”
Nhumwa’s first assignment is a tricky encounter against giants Highlanders in the Chibuku Cup first round match at Barbourfields (BF) Stadium on Sunday.
The two Bulawayo based sides clashed in the semi-final of the cup competition in 2022.
Chiefs who went on to clinch the only premier league cup were 1-0 victors.
However, Sunday’s highly anticipated match comes at a time Bosso who are leading the pack are still unbeaten this season while Amakhosi have suffered three league defeats in a row.
