The 24-year-old Zimbabwe international is entering the final year of his contract with Luton Town FC who are considering shipping him out before the transfer deadline on 1 September.
Rotherham have become the latest team to show interest in Muskwe who is being deemed excess baggage at the premiership side.
“Championship side Rotherham United are keeping tabs on the Zimbabwean,” UK publication Evening Standard wrote.
Muskwe was not given a squad number this season as the Hatters’ manager Rob Edwards is already finalising his squad for the just started 2023/24 EPL season.
Luton Town are reportedly ready to sell Muskwe although at the same time they would also consider a loan move.
The former Leicester City forward spent half of last season on loan at League One side Fleetwood Town and was recalled by Luton Town in January.
During his loan spell, Muskwe, who was part of the Warriors squad at the AFCON finals in January 2022 in Cameroon, scored three goals in 12 appearances.
Muskwe joined Luton Town from former EPL side Leicester City in July 2021.
He is left with one year on his contract.
The Hatters have an option to extend the dreadlocked Muskwe’s stay by one year but they have opted to transfer list him.
