Highlanders Football Club has joined the multitude of mourners in paying their respects to the late Zimbabwe Cricket legend, Heath Streak.

Streak lost his battle with colon and liver cancer on 3 September at the age of 49.
His wife, Nadine, confirmed his passing through an emotional social media post.
Highlanders conveyed their condolences to Streak’s family in a statement: “The Highlanders Football Club family would like to take this opportunity to convey its heartfelt condolences to the Streak family following the demise of a cricket legend and club benefactor Heath Streak who took his last breath Sunday.
“Heath won many hearts through his amazing talent, first as a player and later as a coach. He leaves behind a very rich legacy that deserves a special place in the Zimbabwean sporting ecosystem. The club shall always remember Heath for his unwavering love and support for it.”
Streak played 65 Tests and 189 one-day internationals during which he managed to score 4,933 international runs including one century against West Indies in Harare while taking 445 wickets.
He captained Zimbabwe from 2000 to 2004 after which he served as head coach from 2016-2018 having previously worked as bowling coach.
His memorial service is scheduled for Friday at Mystique Gardens in Bulawayo according to an announcement made by his family on Tuesday.
