JUNIOR Makunike, who prefers the moniker Yogo Yogo of his yesteryear uncle Blessing, has promised a third win in a year for Dynamos against crosstown rivals Caps United.

The two meet on Sunday in the Chibuku Super Cup semifinal, with a Dynamos win almost cementing their dance in CAF competitions, eight years after their last show then in the Champions League.
Makunike, who has been the club’s main driver in midfield told bhorafrika.com a win was all they were thinking of, with the possibility of taking part in next season’s African Safari an added push factor.
The 19-year-old was instrumental in Dynamos’ two wins over Caps United; 2-0 in April and a much recent 1-0 both at the National Sports Stadium where they face off again.
“The match will not end in a draw, it will not proceed to penalties, we will be playing to win it 90 minutes,” said Makunike.
“We want to beat Caps United for a third time this season.”
The original Yogo Yogo, a brother to Junior’s father, played for Caps United where he earned himself legendary status.
He unfortunately passed in a car accident while driving from Bulawayo after a league match against Njube Sundowns in 2004.
Dynamos, with a game in hand, are still in the running for a double in spite of an eight point gap between them and leaders Ngezi Platinum.
If they manage to maneuver past Caps United and Ngezi does the same in their semifinal match against Black Rhinos, Dynamos would all but have ensured their berth in the African Safari.
