CAMEROONIAN forward Albert Eonde has been told to start scoring by Ghanaian giants Heart of Oak fans.

Eonde signed for the 2000 CAF champions league winners in January having been shown the exit door at 1998 losing finalists Dynamos.
His exit was part of a massive clear out at the club that also claimed lanky Nigerian forward Alex Orotomal among 12 others.
Eonde had also turned out for Zimbabwe’s FC Platinum where goals, much like at Dynamos, seemed elusive. He only managed one goal in his two year stay at the latter.
Despite claiming the 2024 GHALCA President Cup, The Phobians as Hearts of Oak supporters are known, seem not too happy with an absence of goals from Eonde.
The Slavko Matic coached side beat rivals Asante Kotoko 1-0 courtesy of a Konadu Yiadom goal, off reliable Linda Mtange’s assist.
“Why is the coach playing Eonde ahead of strikers that have been at the club all this while if he is not scoring?” asked Hearts of Oak supporter Vincent Yabo on Facebook.
Eonde has played four games so far and is yet to score.
“Eonde needs to be told the history of those who have worn the number 18 jersey,” said Supa Kod, who was commenting on the club’s post ahead of the Asante Kotoko clash.
“Those who wore it didn’t play so much, they scored goals, important goals. They exhibited their show when it mattered most, important games.
“He is contributing well but needs to add goals because the main reason he is here and wearing that jersey is because of goals. I wish him well.”
Eonde, who has promised ro deliver, recently hired a German trained strikers’ coach to assist get him in shape for The Phobians.
Hearts of Oak are fifth on the First Capital premiership standings, just five points behind leaders Aduana Stars.
