Re-appointed Chicken Inn FC coach Joey Antipas is preparing for the ‘imminent’ departure of star goalkeeper Bernard Donovan with reports suggesting the 28-year-old is nearing a deal with SuperSport United.

Bhorafrika.com reports the potential transfer has forced the veteran gaffer to scour the market searching for the Warriors goalie’s replacement.
Multiple reports suggest Donovan is close to joining Matsatsantsa Apitoli during the January transfer window.
It is reported that the move is imminent despite Donovan’s recent contract renewal at Chicken Inn.
Should the move go through, Donovan will join a contingent of Zimbabwean players at SuperSport United namely veteran goalkeeper Washington Arubi, defender Ronald Pfumbidzai, and forward Terrence Dzvukamanja.
SuperSport was also home to the late Warriors goalkeeper George Chigova who passed on in November 2023.
