Makopa joins Chicken Inn as a free agent after his contract with Hwange expired on December 31st, 2023.
The talented forward who spent the 2023 season in the Colliery Town, is no stranger in Bulawayo having previously turned out for Bulawayo Chiefs and Bulawayo City.
A product of Highlanders, Makopa will be hoping to continue with his scoring prowess from the previous season.
He briefly led the 2023 PSL goal-scoring chart with five goals early in the season before a knee injury sidelined him for most of the campaign.
Despite the setback, Makopa went on to finish the season with an impressive eight goals and six assists in just 17 matches.
His attacking prowess was evident right up until the final whistle, finishing only five goals behind the Golden Boot winner, Takunda Benhura of Ngezi Platinum Stars.
Chicken Inn’s signing of Makopa is a major statement as his signature was coveted by other local and foreign teams.
Bhorafrika.com can exclusively reveal that Makopa’s childhood club Highlanders, Simba Bhora, GreenFuel, and Botswana’s Orapa United were in the race to sign the exciting striker.
