The 30-year-old heads to West Africa after spending 14 months without a club following his suspension by SuperSport United in May 2022 when his contract was set to expire in June.
Mahachi was suspended by South Africa’s DStv Premiership side for serious allegations of child abuse and attempted murder on his four-year-old son.
Confirming the arrival of the ex-Orlando Pirates speedy winger, Medeama wrote on their Facebook page on Tuesday.
“We are pleased to announce the signing of Zimbabwean international Kudakwashe Mahachi on a one-year deal,” wrote the reigning Ghana champions who are bolstering their squad for CAF Champions League.
The Mzilikazi-born football star had stints with South African clubs including Golden Arrows, Mamelodi Sundowns and Soweto giants, Pirates.
In Zimbabwe, the speedy winger played for Highlanders, Chicken Inn and now defunct Bantu Rovers.
