JAYDEN Bakare missed Dynamos’ training session on Thursday after sustaining an injury on his lower abdomen.

By Bhora Afrika

The 20-year old striker sat on the sidelines under the observation of the team’s medical department.

The type and extent of his injury is yet to be determined but a physician has already scanned the injury for a full report.

Head coach Herbert Maruwa will be hoping that it’s nothing serious ahead of Dynamos’ opening Premier Soccer League match against Hwange on 18 or 19 March.

Who else wanted him?
The former WhaWha FC forward joined Dynamos despite being reportedly courted by several clubs including FC Platinum, Ngezi Platinum Stars, and Manica Diamonds.

Bakare was one of last season’s best performers

Highlanders approached him first, and could have signed him in July 2022 but the club’s offer did not meet the player and his handlers’ expectations for the proposed 3 and a half-year deal.

Bakare is one of the 13 players signed by Dynamos after the club’s massive clear out at the end of last season.

Arthur Diego Musiyiwa is expected to replicate his form at Bulawayo Chiefs, this time in Dynamos colours
